Beginning June 1, 2023, the Certificate Authority/Browser (CA/B) Forum will introduce an important update aimed at strengthening the protection of Code Signing Certificates against misuse and malware threats.
In line with this new requirement, effective April 23, 2023, all OV Code Signing Certificates will no longer be issued using software-based keys. Instead, the certificate and its private key must be stored securely within a hardware device such as a USB token or Hardware Security Module (HSM).
